Shopify Classic — Local is a Chrome extension that changes the appearance and layout of Shopify Admin in your browser. This policy describes how the extension handles information.

Information collection and sharing

The extension does not collect or transmit personal information, Shopify store data, browsing history, or analytics to its developer or other third parties. It makes no external network requests of its own and contains no advertising or analytics trackers.

Local access to Shopify Admin

The extension reads and modifies the structure of matching Shopify Admin pages locally to apply styling and operate Shopify’s native dashboard chart controls. It runs on top-level pages matching https://admin.shopify.com/store/*, not embedded app frames.

Shopify’s native controls remain part of Shopify and use Shopify’s own services under Shopify’s policies. The extension does not send page content or store data to an extension-operated service.

Saved preferences

Chrome’s local extension storage saves two on/off preferences: whether classic styling is enabled and whether the compact Home layout is enabled. The extension stores no Shopify store data. These preferences remain in your browser’s local extension storage and are not synchronized or transmitted by the extension.

Your controls and retention

You can turn off styling or the compact Home layout from the extension popup. You can also disable or remove the extension through Chrome. Preferences remain locally until changed or until the extension’s local storage is removed, such as when the extension is uninstalled.

Payments and future changes

Version 0.3.2 includes no licensing or payment integration. This policy will be updated if the extension’s data practices change, including before introducing services that collect or transmit customer or license information.
